Helmingham, Autumn 2005

All ages service for July was held at Helmingham School with Graham Noble presiding. There were contributions from the children as they questioned 'how does the world work'. The weather was fine so it was possible to hold the service in the open air and it was well attended.

Congratulations to Helen and Chris Thompson on the baptism of their daughter Annabel Grace.

Condolences to the family of Rosemary Arbon who died in July.

A concert was organised by Mrs. Joanna Blower and held in Helmingham Church on Saturday 18th July in aid of breast cancer. The event was well attended and £40 was donated to the fabric appeal for the use of the venue.

Old School House Nursery News

During the summer term the children made the most of the outdoors, planting up a butterfly garden and participating in 'bug hunts' as part of a topic on minibeasts. The children also discovered a little about life in Africa during our topic based on the book 'Hadana's Surprise'. This term we welcome Hannah George, Tom Pearce and Dempsey Seymour. Good luck to Daisy Felton, Timothy Leggett, Joshua Salmon, Leah Hayward, Abigail Webb and Toby Pryce who will be moving to the Primary School and to Mairi Burnett who's family are relocating.
